I had a birthday recently. For me, birthdays are a mark of a new year and a time to reflect on what I accomplished and what I will accomplish in the coming year. For as long as I can remember, I start to accept and share the age I am turning 4-5 months in advance. That way when I actually turn that age, there is no shock element since I have been in the mindset of the new age for months in advance. This is representative of how I operate – I am a planner, goal oriented and look to the future with grand plans of what I want. Then I go out and do the hard work to achieve those goals. Manifest your reality, I say.

This year, I am focused on a personal goal to be in the best shape of my life by the time I am 50. I’ve given myself a 2 year runway, with time to screw up a bit along the way, but come September 2027 I have zero doubt I will be where I plan to be. I know some people are not planners but this is the power of planning.
That’s why I love it when would-be clients share their real estate dreams with me years in advance. They tell me they may want to move but it’s not the right time yet. They say they have hopes of upsizing, downsizing, moving out of state or buying a second home or investment property. They are planning but they are also intentionally putting their plans out there in the universe (and in my capable hands) and allowing me to work in the background to help them manifest their goals. Believe it or not, an annual nudge can do wonders.
Some of my clients take years to decide when to finally embark on their real estate plans. We can’t control everything in short order but we can (as I always say) trust the process and of course, use our birthdays as a moment to muse about our aspirations…. And then of course, #kaulme so I can help you achieve your goals– just as I do my own.

Amidst a whirlwind of life changes, my wonderful buyers relocated from the West Coast to Washington DC, needing someone to expertly navigate them through the major transition of moving across the country with young children and another on the way. We haven't had a date night in a while, but we loved our meal at Wren in Tyson's Corner where not only did we enjoy wyagu nigiri and miso glazed black cod, but we did the thing that matters most-- caught up with friends! We love a night in DC, but getting to Tyson's was easy peasy!
